現在、さっぽろ天神山アートスタジオ、レジデンス中のアーティスト増山士郎は「札幌国際芸術祭SIAF2024」の公募プロジェクトとして、2024年1月20日(土)から2月25日(日)まで、札幌のCAI03 にて、個展「世界の果てで、動物と対話する」を開催します。展覧会では、インドで神聖な動物とされる象や、アラスカやグリーランドで実現した北極圏にのみ生息するジャコウウシの2023年の新作二つを含む、世界各地で実現した8つの動物のためのプロジェクトをまとめて回顧展形式で披露します。オープニングの1月20日(土)16時からは、SIAF2020の統括ディレクターの天野太郎氏との対談も開催されます。
Shiro MASUYAMA who is staying in Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio is holding solo exhibition at CAI03, Sapporo, Japan, "Talking to the Animals in the End of the World" from Sat. 20th Jan. 2024 to Sun. 25th February as a part of Open Call Projects for "SIAF2024 - Sapporo International Art Festival 2024". Like his retrospective show, he will represent 8 projects for various animals in different countries including 2 brand new projects in 2023, which he realized for both an elephant regarded as holy animal in India and a muskox in Alaska, USA and Greenland, which only exists in the Arctic Circle.
